Job summary

ACE Partners in Goldsboro, NC is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design circuits and schematics for industrial control panels and power distribution systems onsite. You will collaborate with engineering and production to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency, with direct impact on shop-floor results.

The role requires hands-on schematic design experience (2+ years) and knowledge of UL508A and NFPA/NEC standards, offering a hands-on, growth-focused environment in a privately held

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and 2+ years of hands-on electrical design.
• Ability to draw schematics rather than just edit templates.
• Knowledge of UL508A and power distribution or control panel design.

Responsibilities

• Draw and develop control schematics, single-line diagrams, and full drawing packages in AutoCAD Electrical.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to improve manufacturability and cost.
• Support Quality and Field Service with design questions, as-builts, and revisions.
• Apply UL508A, UL891, and NFPA 70/NEC standards with engineering judgment.

Most CAD roles ask you to operate the tool. This one asks you to design the circuit first.

A fast-growing, privately held manufacturer in Eastern NC is doubling in size year on year, driven by utility-scale solar and data center demand. They're hiring an Electrical Design Engineer who can take a spec and originate the schematics for industrial control panels, UL891 switchboards, and power distribution systems. You'll sit next to the engineers you work with, so changes happen in real time, not through a ticket queue.

What you'll do

• Draw and develop control schematics, single-line diagrams, and full drawing packages in AutoCAD Electrical
• Work directly with Engineering and Production to improve manufacturability and cost
• Support Quality and Field Service with design questions, as-builts, and revisions
• Apply UL508A, UL891, and NFPA 70/NEC standards with real engineering judgment
