Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Solar Engineer to join our team and focus on the design of utility-scale solar and BESS projects. In this role, you will work with a dynamic team of engineers to deliver innovative and high-quality designs for large-scale solar power plants and energy storage systems. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of utility-scale solar and BESS projects, including site layout, electrical design, and system integration.

• Utilize AutoCAD and other design software to produce detailed engineering drawings and layouts for solar and BESS systems.

• Perform electrical design and modeling, including interconnection studies, equipment selection, and performance analysis.

• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.

• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and system sizing to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.

• Assist with the preparation of technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients.

• Ensure designs meet relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes related to solar and BESS projects.

• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in the design of utility-scale solar energy and/or BESS systems.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other design and modeling software (e.g., PVSyst, Helioscope, or similar).

• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including DC/AC systems, inverters, transformers, and energy storage solutions.

• Experience with utility-scale project design, permitting, and interconnection processes.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for solar and BESS projects (e.g., NEC, IEEE, NERC).

• Certification in solar or energy storage (e.g., NABCEP) is a plus but not required.
