About the Role

The Electrical Design Engineer provides CAD designs, technical specifications, product selection/configuration, and production support for Value Added business in alignment with customer specifications and strategic plan.

Responsibilities

• Serve as site Manufacturer Technical Representative (MTR) for UL certification.
• Collaborate with sales staff for final quote preparation and delivery to clients.
• Provide field support as needed.
• Develop and interpret electrical system concepts.
• Schedule production of jobs in collaboration with other department staff to meet deadlines.
• Develop Bills of Materials, including product pricing, labor estimates, and estimated delivery dates.
• Collaborate with purchasing team to ensure adequate supplies of inventory and components.
• Update design and related documentation to reflect changes or improvements during production.
• Assist with process documentation and support manufacturing operations.
• Develop and implement electrical design standards.
• Create or modify CAD drawings according to client requests and design specifications.

Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field and 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering or related field. Experience in automation, design, detailing, 3D CAD, and machine design is preferred. Familiarity with UL 508a standards is required.

Required Skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of UL 508a.

Preferred Skills

• Additional skills or certifications relevant to electrical design and automation are a plus.
