Job summary

The Misch Group in Florida is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer to support building systems design from concept through construction. This onsite role requires hands-on electrical design and coordination within an established MEP team.

You will design power, lighting, security, and low-voltage systems; prepare plans, specs, and construction documents; and perform load calculations, ensuring code compliance and cross-discipline coordination with mechanical and plumbing teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in an MEP or consulting engineering environment.
• Hands-on building electrical design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design production: Design power, lighting, security, and low-voltage systems for buildings.
• Prepare electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Perform electrical load calculations and system layouts; support multi-floor building designs.
• Coordinate designs with mechanical and plumbing disciplines; review shop drawings and provide construction-phase support.

About the opportunity

An established MEP consulting engineering team is hiring an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer to support building systems design from concept through construction.

Responsibilities

Electrical design production

• Design power, lighting, security, and low-voltage systems for buildings
• Prepare electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents

Calculations and layout

• Perform electrical load calculations and system layouts
• Support multi-floor building designs with consistent layouts

Coordination and construction support

• Coordinate designs with mechanical and plumbing disciplines
