Job summary

MAHLE is seeking an Electrical/Mechatronics Design Engineer to contribute to eCompressor product development through design, testing, and validation of electric AC compressors, focusing on the motor and drive subsystem and components.

You will work within MAHLE's Electric Compressor Product Engineering Development team to advance designs, develop test plans for electronics and motor validation, and participate in innovation and quality improvements; a hands-on role across design, prototyping,

Qualifications

• BS Engineering Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience of mechatronics product development.
• Background and job experience in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Electric Compressor team to advance product designs and launches.
• Design and develop the eCompressor motor, electronics, software, and its integration into the mechanical system.
• Develop and execute test plans for electronics and motor validation.
• Participate in innovation, cost, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Hands-on involvement in all product development stages—design, prototyping, testing, validation.

Job description

Our Electrical/Mechatronics Design Engineer will contribute to the eCompressor product development activity through engineering design, development testing, and validation of electric AC compressors and is focused on the mechatronics motor and drive subsystem and components.

• Work within the MAHLE Electric Compressor Product Engineering Development team to advance product designs and contribute to customer flawless launches
• Design and development focus for this position is on the eCompressor motor, electronics, software, and integration into the mechanical system.
• Develop and execute test plans for electronics and motor validation
• Participate in innovation, product cost, and quality improvement initiatives
• This position requires a hands-on individual who is expected to participate in all aspects of product development – including product design, component selection, prototype builds, prototype testing, and validation.

Your Experience & Qualifications

• BS Engineering Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience of mechatronics product development.
