Job summary

Employbridge is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design and develop electrical systems and components for power distribution products. You will use AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical to create drawings and layouts that meet UL standards and customer specifications.

You will collaborate with engineering and production teams, select components, and help drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience designing electrical systems and components.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution equipment, and industry standards.
• Experience creating 2D and 3D electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to design electrical systems for a variety of projects.
• Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Develop designs that comply with applicable industry standards, UL requirements, and customer specifications.
• Select electrical components including transformers, circuit breakers, switches, relays, cables, and other power distribution equipment.
• Review project requirements and convert technical specifications into practical design solutions.
• Partner with suppliers and vendors to obtain technical information and evaluate component compatibility.
• Support manufacturing and production teams with design-related questions and technical guidance.
• Assist with continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, efficiency, and product innovation.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering department. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems and components for UL 891 Switchboards, UL 1008 Transfer Switches, UL 414 Metering Enclosures, UL 508A Control Panels, and other custom power distribution products.

Using the Autodesk design suite, including AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical, you will play a key role in developing innovative, high-quality electrical solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.

What You'll Do

• Previous experience in a related engineering or electrical design environment preferred.
