Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced design/substantiation engineer who will develop electrical test plans, substantiation reports for aircraft cabin safety, and manage small STC/PMA projects for electrical requirements. You will coordinate with suppliers, DERs, and certification agencies, and interface with airline customers during flight test activities.

You will apply knowledge of Airbus and Boeing processes, demonstrate strong MS Office skills, and CAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering or related field strongly preferred.
• 4–7 years of overall engineering experience; internships or co-ops may count.
• Knowledge of aircraft processes and substantiation techniques for Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
• Strong computer skills; proficient with MS Office programs.
• Familiarity with aircraft mechanical/structural design, materials, fabrication methods, and aerospace hardware.
• Organized, good communicator, professional appearance.

Job Description & Skill Requirement:

Responsibilities:

• Develop electrical test plans, checklists, and inspection plans.
• Develop substantiation reports and test plans/reports for aircraft cabin safety.
• Draft presentations for all meetings and manage small STC/PMA projects for electrical requirements, including data deliverables from suppliers and coordinating responses to inquiries, significant issues, and airworthiness concerns with DER would be a plus.
• Identify applicable major design changes impacting electricals.
• Support the relationship with certification and regulatory agencies.
• Interface with airline customers in troubleshooting at flight test/test labs/jigs.

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering or related scientific field strongly preferred.
• Four (4) to seven (7) years overall work experience in an engineering role. Engineering internships and Co-op assignments may be applied to experience requirements.
• Must possess some knowledge of aircraft processes and substantiation techniques of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
• Must have strong computer skills and demonstrate proficiency with MS Office programs.
• Must be familiar with aircraft mechanical/structural design processes, materials, fabrication methods, and aerospace hardware.
• Must be organized and an effective individual contributor, presenting good communication skills and a professional appearance.

Required Skills:

• Must have AutoCAD or DraftSight tools experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of aircraft interiors.
• Experience as a Design Engineer or Substantiation Engineer.
• Working knowledge of FAR regulations and aircraft certification.
