Job summary

LTTS, a global engineering services leader, is seeking an experienced aerospace electrical design/substantiation engineer in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on developing test plans, substantiation reports, and managing STC/PMA projects for electrical requirements while coordinating with suppliers and regulators.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of engineering experience, familiarity with Airbus/Boeing processes, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in aerospace or electrical engineering strongly preferred.
  • Four to seven years of engineering experience; internships/Co-ops may count.
  • Knowledge of aircraft processes and substantiation techniques for Airbus/Boeing aircraft.
  • Proficient with MS Office and able to work with aerospace hardware.

  • Develop electrical test plans, checklists, and inspection plans.
  • Develop substantiation reports and test plans/reports for aircraft cabin safety.
  • Draft presentations for meetings and manage small STC/PMA projects for electrical requirements including supplier data deliverables and responses to inquiries and airworthiness concerns with DER involvement where applicable.
  • Identify major design changes impacting electricals.
  • Support relationships with certification and regulatory agencies.
  • Interface with airline customers during troubleshooting at flight test or lab environments.

  • Develop substantiation reports and test plans / reports for aircraft cabin safety.
  • Draft presentations for all meetings and manage small STC / PMA projects for electrical requirements including data deliverables from suppliers, and coordinating responses to inquiries, significant issues and airworthiness concerns with DER would be plus
  • Identify applicable major design changes impacting electricals
  • Support the relationship with certification and regulatory agencies
  • Interface with airline customers in troubleshooting at flight test/at test labs/jigs
Qualifications
  • B.S. in aerospace or electrical engineering or related scientific field strongly preferred.
  • Four (4) to seven (7) years overall work experience in an engineering role. Engineering internships and Co-op assignments may be applied to experience requirements.
  • Must possess some knowledge of aircraft processes and substantiation techniques of Airbus and Boeing a/c
  • Must have strong computer skills and demonstrate proficiency with MS Office programs.
  • Must be familiar with aircraft mechanical/structural design processes, materials, fabrication methods and aerospace hardware.
  • Must be organized and an effective individual contributor, presenting good communication skills and a professional appearance.
Required Skills
  • Must have AutoCAD or Draftsight tools experience
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of aircraft interiors.
  • Experience as a design engineer or substantiation engineer.
  • Working Knowledge of FAR regulations and aircraft certification

  • B.S. in aerospace or electrical engineering or related scientific field strongly preferred.
