Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking an experienced aerospace engineer to develop electrical test plans, substantiation reports and flight-test related documentation for aircraft cabin safety. You will draft presentations for meetings and manage small STC/PMA projects, coordinating with suppliers to deliver data and addressing airworthiness questions with DER.

This on-site role in Atlanta, GA requires knowledge of Airbus/Boeing processes, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to interface

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace or electrical engineering or related scientific field strongly preferred.
• 4–7 years of overall work experience in an engineering role; internships/Co-ops may count.
• Knowledge of aircraft processes and substantiation techniques for Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
• Proficient with MS Office programs.
• Familiar with aircraft mechanical/structural design processes, materials, fabrication methods and aerospace hardware.
• Organized with good communication and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical test plans, checklists and inspection plans.
• Develop substantiation reports and cabin-safety test plans/reports.
• Draft presentations for meetings and manage small STC/PMA projects for electrical requirements.
• Coordinate data deliverables from suppliers and responses to airworthiness inquiries with DER.
• Interface with certification/regulatory agencies.
• Interface with airline customers during flight tests and at test labs.

Job description

• Develop electrical test plans, checklists, inspection plans
• Develop substantiation reports and test plans / reports for aircraft cabin safety.
• Draft presentations for all meetings and manage small STC / PMA projects for electrical requirements including data deliverables from suppliers, and coordinating responses to inquiries, significant issues and airworthiness concerns with DER would be plus
• Support the relationship with certification and regulatory agencies
• Interface with airline customers in troubleshooting at flight test/at test labs/jigs

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace or electrical engineering or related scientific field strongly preferred.
• Four (4) to seven (7) years overall work experience in an engineering role. Engineering internships and Co-op assignments may be applied to experience requirements.
• Must possess some knowledge of aircraft processes and substantiation techniques of Airbus and Boeing a/c
• Must have strong computer skills and demonstrate proficiency with MS Office programs.
• Must be familiar with aircraft mechanical/structural design processes, materials, fabrication methods and aerospace hardware.
• Must be organized and an effective individual contributor, presenting good communication skills and a professional appearance.

Required Skills

• Must have AutoCAD or Draftsight tools experience

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of aircraft interiors.
• Experience as a design engineer or substantiation engineer.
• Working Knowledge of FAR regulations and aircraft certification
