Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, seeks an Experienced / Senior Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer to join our team.

This role supports national defense programs, performing requirements analysis, design development, and lifecycle engineering across multiple disciplines. Candidates should have a relevant Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years (Level 3) or 9+ years (Level 4) of related experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical) or related field.
  • Experience levels: Level 3 (5+ years) or Level 4 (9+ years) in related work.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes customer and system requirements to develop architectures and specifications.
  • Develops high-level and detailed designs aligned with requirements.
  • Validates designs through reviews, testing and analysis.
  • Tracks technical performance measures to ensure requirement compliance.
  • Supports supplier management with limited make/buy recommendations.
  • Provides engineering support throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Investigates emerging technologies for future designs.

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring an Experienced / Senior Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer at Hill Air Force Base (AFB), Utah. Boeing has an established legacy of national defense through our ICBM programs. Our involvement is ongoing today and will continue into the distant future. Position Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes customer and system requirements to develop basic architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products.
  • Develops high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications.
  • Validates designs through various methods of review, testing and analysis.
  • Identifies, tracks and statuses technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Supports Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services of limited scope.
  • Provides engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product.
  • Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
  • Works under general direction.
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Experienced, Level 3: Typically, 5 or more years' related work experience
  • Senior, Level 4: Typically, 9 or more years' related work experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Previous Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM) experience
  • Previous MIL-STD-1760 and cybersecurity experience.
  • Previous experience developing and implementing a Pilot Vehicle Interface.
  • Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test, software, technology, avionics).
  • Knowledge of the interaction between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-engineering processes (e.g., Operations, Logistics, Business).
  • Experience leading efforts to decompose requirements and implement a hardware solution to meet requirements with minimal guidance.
  • Current active clearance is preferred.

Summary pay range, Experienced Level 3: $ 112,200 – $ 151,800

Summary pay range, Senior Level 4: $ 136,850 – $ 185,150
