Colliers Engineering & Design in the Midwest is hiring a Department Manager for Electrical Engineering to lead our Buildings Engineering Services team. You will oversee, direct and manage the work of staff, shaping projects from load analysis to complex electrical systems and green building design.

You will mentor engineers, help develop marketing programs, ensure project profitability, and collaborate with other groups to apply expertise across power distribution, lighting, fire alarms and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of professional experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• P.E. license required.
• Demonstrated effective leadership across large groups of employees.
• Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Revit, and AGI.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for job communications.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and manages operations to ensure the quality of the technical products.
• Establishes effective long-range objectives, goals, and plans for assigned team.
• Provides technical and management leadership to the assigned team.
• Develops marketing program in conjunction with discipline goals.
• Advises and assists professionals in other groups when expert knowledge and expertise is required.
• Manages activities so an adequate profit is earned on all projects.
• Reviews monthly productivity and labor hour utilization-rates, reports and makes adjustments as needed.
• Assigns projects to staff and schedules work.
• Evaluate Employee Performance in accordance with company policy.
