Overview

The Electrical Crew Leader plans, organizes, and schedules crews to complete assigned work orders, including assigning tasks. They also ensure work is installed in a high‑quality manner and perform quality inspections. Crew Leaders also monitor task completion, compliance, and prevent safety issues. This position supports projects within a 70‑mile radius of our headquarters in Tysons, Virginia.

Responsibilities
  • Material Phasing – organize material by specific areas/floors and track inventories.
  • Tools & Equipment – identify all tools and equipment required for each crew (gang box assignments, tool inspection, signing sheet in/out).
  • Information Packages – each crew activity must have information packages (contract drawings, shop drawings, panel schedules, cut sheets, etc.).
  • Control breaks – manage personal breaks, smoking time, and conversation time.
  • Daily hour/unit reports – submit hours/units daily for each employee to the foreman on the standard time sheet.
  • Quality control inspections – follow established QC plan and checklists.
  • Install work in a professional manner and high‑quality standard.
  • Maintain accurate as‑built drawings – update and log onto master record contract drawings at least once a week.
  • Inventory tools & equipment – ensure all tools are accounted for and secure; submit inventory/inspection sheets every Monday.
  • Lost/Stolen/Damage tool report – complete immediately.
  • AHA’s – review, sign, and store all AHA’s related to the foreman’s scope of work at the gang box.
  • Support Equipment Inspection – submit daily equipment inspection sheets weekly.
  • Accident/Incident Reporting & Investigation – follow established procedures and submit reports within 24 hours.
  • Clean Up – maintain a broom‑swept condition at the end of each day.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in the electrical industry with a high school degree or GED.
  • 4+ years of experience with an associate degree.
  • Position supports projects within a 70‑mile radius of the headquarters in Tysons, Virginia.

Abilities
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Relocate a 12‑foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Work at various heights up to 60 feet and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and ladders.
  • Perform repetitive movements such as walking, climbing, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
  • Good vision (may be corrected), ability to see in color, and ability to hear and communicate in English.
  • Use a standard ladder while carrying tools without exceeding the weight limit.
  • Recognize potential problems before they occur.
  • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce logical answers.
  • Combine information to form general rules or conclusions, including relationships among seemingly unrelated events.
  • See details at close range (within a few feet).
  • Listen to and understand spoken information and ideas.

Pay Range: USD $47.00 – $51.00 /Hr.
