Responsibilities

  • Organize material and keep track of inventories.
  • Identify tools and equipment required for each crew.
  • Ensure each crew activity has the necessary information packages.
  • Maintain control of breaks to prevent lost time.
  • Submit daily hours/units for each employee assigned to the crew.
  • Inspect work completed following the established QC plan.
  • Install work in a professional and high-quality manner.
  • Update and log as-built drawings onto the master record weekly.
  • Conduct end-of-day tool and equipment inventory.
  • Report lost, stolen, or damaged tools.
  • Review and store AHA submissions signed by each crew member.
  • Submit daily equipment inspection sheets once a week.
  • Follow procedures for reporting accidents and incidents.
  • Ensure all work areas are broom-swept at the end of the day.

An Electrical Crew Leader plans, organizes, and schedules crews to complete assigned work orders, including assigning tasks. They also assure the work is being installed in a high‑quality manner and perform quality inspections. Crew Leaders also monitor task completion, compliance, and prevent safety issues.

Responsibilities
  • Material Phasing – Organize material by specific areas/floors and keep track of inventories.
  • Tools & Equipment – Identify all tools and equipment required to support each crew, including gang‑box assignments and tool inspections.
  • Information Packages – Ensure each crew activity has the necessary information packages (contract drawings, shop drawings, panel schedules, cut sheets, etc.).
  • Break Management – Maintain control of breaks to prevent loss time from personal breaks, smoking time, and conversation time.
  • Daily Reporting – Submit hours/units daily for each employee assigned to the crew.
  • Quality Control – Inspect work completed following the established QC plan and checklists.
  • Install Work – Install work in a professional manner and with high‑quality standards.
  • As‑Built Drawings – Update and log as‑built drawings onto the master record once a week.
  • Tool & Equipment Inventory – Conduct end‑of‑day inventory; inventory/inspection sheets must be turned in every Monday.
  • Lost/Stolen/Damage Tool Report – Report any lost, stolen, or damaged tools.
  • AHA Compliance – All revised AHA submissions must be reviewed, signed by each crew member, and stored at their gang box.
  • Support Equipment Inspection – Submit daily equipment inspection sheets for all assigned equipment once a week.
  • Accident/Incident Reporting – Follow procedures for reporting accidents and incidents within 24 hours.
  • Clean‑Up – Ensure all work areas are left broom‑swept at the end of the day.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in the electrical industry with a high school diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of experience with an associate degree.

Abilities
  • The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Relocate a 12‑foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Work at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and ladders.
  • Walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  • Possess good vision (may be corrected), ability to see in color, and ability to hear and communicate in English.
  • Use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
  • Detect potential problems without solving them.
  • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce sensible answers.
  • Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
  • See details up close and listen to and understand spoken information and ideas.
Pay Range

USD $34.50 – USD $38.50 /Hr.
