Job summary

TIC Inc. is seeking a lead construction supervisor to effectively lead and manage a crew in Houston, TX, ensuring daily activities align with project timelines and safety standards. You will train staff on proper procedures and supervise other crafts as needed.

Responsibilities include coordinating resources, monitoring equipment operation, maintaining reports, and helping develop weekly schedules to meet project goals while upholding TIC's commitment to quality workmanship and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related field experience preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill to perform all essential functions of craft workers under supervision.
• Ability to perform task planning to safely and efficiently carry out all aspects of work; training in safety practices.
• Knowledge of scheduling, material control, unit manhour performance, estimating fundamentals and job cost management systems.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions; communicate effectively with crew and management.
• Must be a good communicator, motivator, and team player.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and organize people, equipment, tools and materials to promote safe, efficient and timely construction.
• Ensure construction equipment is correctly operated and maintained.
• Maintain accurate reporting records including quantities, productivity rates, timesheets and daily management reports.
• May assist in developing a weekly schedule and sequencing of activities for the crew.
• Ensure timely completion of work within estimated costs while upholding quality workmanship.
• Ensure crew safety and enforce company and government safety rules.
• Lead toolbox meetings and communicate safety concerns, work scope, plans and schedules to leadmen and crews.
• Monitor compliance with company policies by all employees under supervision.
