Job summary

Helix Electric Inc. is seeking a Craft Trainer to deliver high-quality craft and safety training for electricians across the company. The role covers classroom, on-the-job, and blended learning, aligned with company standards and industry best practices.

The position requires extensive travel (up to 75%) and the ability to operate in varied conditions. You will support licensing prep, mentor tradespeople, and manage training resources while ensuring safety and learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed journeyman or master electrician with knowledge of electrical systems, code, and safety.
• Ability to deliver training in classroom and field environments; mentor employees.
• Willing to travel across the U.S. up to 75%.
• NCCER Instructor certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction training completed.
• First Aid/CPR certification held.
• Associate degree or apprenticeship completion in electrical trade preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and LMS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging craft and safety training for employees at all levels.
• Design and develop craft and safety training curriculum.
• Apply instructional best practices to maximize retention and application.
• Visit job sites nationwide to observe performance and address skill gaps.
• Provide test prep, coaching, and mentoring for licensing and certification.
• Manage training equipment, classrooms, and resources.
• Track participation, outcomes, and evaluations; generate reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
