Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to install, inspect, and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems across pipeline and plant facilities.

You will perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and testing while documenting activities and ensuring compliance with safety norms. The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent experience, strong knowledge of NEC, and ability to read electrical drawings and operate test instruments.

Qualifications

• Two year Associate Degree in job related technical training or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of National Electric Codes.
• Proficient with electronic test instruments.
• Knowledge of process controls and gas processing fundamentals.
• Knowledge and experience preparing drawings of electrical circuits.
• Knowledge and experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagrams.
• Knowledge and experience applying and interpreting results from common electrical measurement instruments (voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter, oscilloscope, etc)
• Knowledge of company policies and regulatory and tariff requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair and calibrate electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic equipment and document duties.
• Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, compressors, drivers, and auxiliary equipment.
• Conduct I&M checks on control systems.
• Identify and resolve safety and environmental concerns.
• Ensure work complies with standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead efforts to develop and implement changes from analytical testing.
• Mentor fellow employees when possible.
• Maintain electrical switch gear and power distribution.
• Oversee construction/maintenance by third parties.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
