Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Maintenance Technician I (Electrical Controls Technician I) to support safe and reliable energy delivery across pipeline facilities. You will develop foundational knowledge while maintaining electrical and control systems, working within a safety-focused team and contributing to regulatory compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) with relevant training, plus the ability to work independently and as part of a crew.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with direct relevant training/experience.
• Associate degree or technical training is preferred for advancement.
• Experience with electrical controls and safety procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain electrical systems including switchgear, motors, pumps, and fans.
• Maintain DC power systems: batteries, chargers, rectifiers, inverters.
• Support PLCs, HMIs, and associated control networks with field devices.
• Maintain and test safety systems such as gas detectors and ESD panels.
• Perform station maintenance tasks and document compliance activities.
• Document operations and report abnormal conditions to leadership.
• Collaborate with team and assist contractors or junior staff as needed.
• Follow SOPs and O&M procedures and support budgeting and planning.
