Job summary

Job description

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, repairing and testing industrial equipment including power service, motor starters, high/low voltage electrical systems, PLC controls, HMI's, networks (ethernet/IP) and electrical field devices (photo eyes, proxes, encoders, limit switches, etc.)
• Utilize standard electrical test equipment to perform equipment tests using established procedures and record results.
• Update and clarify test procedures.
• Assist in training others to conduct tests properly.
• Perform preventive maintenance and general maintenance as required on production equipment and facility equipment.
• Complete assigned work orders and document all tests.
• Troubleshoot and identify root causes, recommending continuous improvement with cross‑functional teams.

Required Qualifications

• Experience working with outside contractors on miscellaneous installations.
• Three to five years of plant maintenance experience with electrical certifications desired.
• Ability to develop control logic, including prints and installation of control wiring, and troubleshoot PLC systems.
• Proficiency with test equipment such as multimeters.
• Working knowledge of programmable controllers and AC/DC drives.
• Industrial control wiring experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instrument drawings and control schematics.
• Knowledge of NEC requirements.
• Must be able to work in cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work overtime if needed.
• Excellent on‑site attendance.
