Overview:
Seeking an Electrical Controls Technician who is multiskilled with primary responsibility to maintain and troubleshoot all process control and operational support systems equipment in a proactive manner, troubleshoot and repair breakdowns on all major electrical and computer-based equipment. Perform all preventive maintenance as scheduled and support system improvements.
Role:
Substations and MCCs, knowledge of 480 volt, three phase, and 120 VAC, 24VDC control and power systems.
All PLCs and HMI systems, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Building Automation System (BAS), Utility Management System (UMS), and Control System Networks (EtherNet, ControlNet, digital bus systems).
Maintain quality control standards at all times, perform thorough SPC, comply with QMS Advanced Level standards, and adhere to all FDA requirements.
Perform systematic change control on PLC programs, calibrate instruments (supporting Cal techs during off-shifts), and manage work orders within CMMS system per best practices.
Report outages and system malfunctions, document configuration changes, and schedule/preventive maintenance aligned with manufacturing schedules.
Coordinate system checks with line maintenance personnel, analyze line performance data, and support improvements based on findings.
Apply creative problem-solving skills to improve controls and optimize production, contributing positively to safety, quality, cost, and service indicators.
Support troubleshooting, line maintenance, schedule backlog projects, and ensure timely completion of all work.
