Job summary

Wabash in Lafayette, IN is seeking an Electronics Controls Engineer Maintenance Technician to repair, install and inspect electronic systems on the production line, following diagrams and specs.

You will troubleshoot PLCs, robotics and vision systems, read engineering drawings, interface with suppliers, and support daily production and project activities. Training provided; prior automation experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of Electrical Maintenance experience preferred.
• Good Mechanical aptitude.
• 1 to 3 years Robotic experience preferred.
• Experience with Cognex, Banner, Allen Bradley and Keyence automation equipment preferred.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Basic reading / writing / verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and modify detailed engineering drawings and prints to adjust, test and repair equipment.
• Enter data in SAP PM (Plant maintenance).
• Program and troubleshoot PLC, robotics and vision systems.
• Troubleshoot automation manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic systems and servo drives.
• Interface with suppliers for maintenance parts.
• Understand and apply engineering specifications, Change Orders, and SOP.
• Support daily production requirements.
• Support engineering project related activities.
