Job summary

Construction Job Board USA is seeking an Electrical Controls Supervisor to lead a team of controls technicians in a manufacturing environment. You will supervise installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and electrical systems to keep production lines running safely and efficiently.

You will prioritize work, drive root cause analysis, and partner with engineering and production to implement controls improvements, support new equipment commissioning, and champion safety

Qualifications

• PLC programming and electrical troubleshooting required.
• HMI config and support experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and NFPA 70.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of controls technicians in a manufacturing setting.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PLCs/HMIs/VFDs and control panels.
• Diagnose equipment issues to minimize downtime and drive improvements.

• Develop and maintain electrical schematics and procedures.
• Prioritize work orders using CMMS or maintenance systems.

In this hands-on role, you will oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial electrical systems that keep our window and door production lines running safely and efficiently. You'll prioritize and assign work, drive root cause analysis, and partner with engineering and production to implement controls improvements, support new equipment commissioning, and champion safety and continuous improvement in a people-first, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of electrical controls technicians in a manufacturing environment
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and control panels
• Diagnose and resolve equipment and controls issues to minimize downtime
• Partner with engineering and production to support new equipment commissioning and upgrades
• Ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards, including NFPA 70
• E and Lockout/Tagout
• Develop and maintain documentation, electrical schematics, and standard procedures
• Prioritize and schedule work orders using maintenance or CMMS tools
• Identify and implement controls improvements to support quality, safety, and throughput
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for controls and automation projects
• Support training and development of technicians in controls and electrical best practices
