This role includes overseeing maintenance personnel, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting capital projects. The salary ranges from US$140,000 to US$150,000 per annum, plus up to a 15% bonus.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Controls Manager to lead electrical maintenance, controls systems, and automation initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for minimizing production downtime, managing electrical maintenance personnel, supporting capital projects, and ensuring consistent application and maintenance of plant control systems.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, hands‑on PLC/HMI experience, and a solid understanding of industrial electrical systems, safety standards, and preventive maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise electrical and instrumentation maintenance personnel
• Manage electrical maintenance activities to reduce production interruptions
• Oversee plant controls technology and standardize control system applications
• Coordinate department schedules, maintenance activities, and contractor support
• Develop and improve preventive maintenance programs (PMP)
• Support engineering projects, process improvements, and capital initiatives
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and applicable regulations
• Manage procurement of electrical parts, tools, and equipment
• Provide project management support for electrical and controls‑related projects
• Travel approximately 25% to support projects and operational improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience with PLC and HMI programming and associated hardware testing
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing electrical, mechanical, power electronics, or controls teams
• Experience supporting capital projects and project management initiatives
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and controls technologies
• Experience with industrial automation software platforms is preferred

US$140000 - US$150000 per annum + up to 15% bonus, 401k package
