Under the guidance of the Electrical Engineering Manager, you will work with PLCs, HMIs, schematics, and control panels, gaining hands-on experience while supporting cross-functional teams in design, assembly, and testing activities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Coursework or foundational knowledge in electrical circuits, controls, automation, or related areas.
• Ability to read and learn to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn engineering software and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical and safety instructions.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively across departments.
• English proficiency, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creating and updating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and bills of materials.
• Support PLC and HMI programming, modifications, and testing under an engineer's guidance.
• Assist with control panel inspections, I/O checks, and functional testing before equipment shipment.
• Identify and document electrical or controls issues found during assembly and testing.
• Research electrical and controls components, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, and sensors.
• Update drawings, programs, parts lists, and other engineering documentation to reflect approved changes.
• Observe and assist with troubleshooting and equipment startup activities as appropriate to the intern’s training.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on assigned work.
• Follow company safety procedures in manufacturing and testing areas.
