Job summary

Software Placement Group (SPG) seeks an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer for a highly automated Mobile facility. You will troubleshoot and optimize PLC-based systems, and drive automation projects from concept through startup to boost plant reliability and performance.

Responsibilities include programming Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and Siemens S7/TIA Portal, maintaining DCS/SCADA/HMI, coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, and vendors to improve equipment uptime and process control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10+ years in industrial electrical, controls, automation, or process-control.
• Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience in plant environments.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs required.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, modify, and optimize PLC-based control systems.
• Support and maintain DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems for process control.
• Troubleshoot electrical, controls, instrumentation, and automation issues.
• Lead capital projects from concept through startup with cost estimates.
• Develop and maintain P&IDs, one-lines, schematics, and control documentation.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, and external resources.
• Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to improve reliability and uptime.
