Job summary

Xerox Webster NY is seeking an Electrical (Controls) Engineer to support multiple automated production lines, providing engineering expertise to ensure high-quality parts for production printing.

You will develop and maintain controls documentation, programming, and collaborate with industrial staff, quality personnel, and process engineers. Strong PLC/MMI/HMI skills and familiarity with Drive and robotics systems are required.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems on material handling and process lines.
• PLC/MMI/HMI programming experience across Allen-Bradley and Schneider Electric platforms.
• Familiarity with Kollmorgen Drives and ABB robotics.
• Proficiency with Windows and legacy software; AutoCAD knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for multiple manufacturing operations, potentially including off-shift.
• Create and maintain controls documentation, equipment maintenance procedures, and automation programming.
• Interact with industrial staff, quality personnel and process engineers.
• Systems integration with vendors providing equipment.
• Troubleshoot electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and processes.
• Upgrade current equipment to meet run-cost targets and enable future products.
• Address hazardous location requirements (Class I, Div. 1 & 2), including ESD shoes and respirator.
