Job summary

Lithios Inc is seeking an Electrical & Controls Engineer to drive electrical, instrumentation, and control system work for advanced lithium extraction capital projects. You will coordinate with EPCs, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliant, integrated designs and on-time project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in industrial power systems, PLC/DCS, and documentation, with strong communication skills and a hands-on approach to design reviews and startup

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical, controls, instrumentation, or related engineering experience in complex facilities.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related field.
• Experience with industrial power systems, including DC power, rectifiers, and power supplies.
• Strong understanding of PLC/DCS, instrumentation, I/O, and industrial communications.
• Experience with contractors/engineering consultants is a plus.
• Ability to identify issues and communicate clearly across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineering activities from concept through construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Develop and review electrical and I&C design criteria, equipment specifications, datasheets, drawings, and calculations.
• Provide technical oversight of industrial power systems (AC/DC distribution, rectifiers, motor controllers).
• Review design of instrumentation and control systems (PLC/DCS, networks, I/O).
• Coordinate across process, mechanical, civil, and other disciplines to ensure proper system integration.
• Interface with EPC contractors and packaged vendors to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Participate in P&ID reviews, electrical studies, control philosophy development, HAZOPs, FATs, commissioning, startup.
• Develop control narratives, I/O lists, instrument indexes, and related documents.
• Identify technical issues and drive resolution; provide technical leadership to the team.
