Job summary

Lithios, Medford, MA, seeks an Electrical & Controls Engineer to lead electrical, instrumentation, and controls activities for Lithios’ Advanced Lithium Extraction projects. You will drive design through startup, coordinate with EPC contractors, and ensure robust integration of power systems and controls.

The role emphasizes experience with DC power systems, PLC/DCS, and instrumentation, collaborating across disciplines to meet project objectives and standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electrical, controls, instrumentation, or related engineering with complex facilities.
• Experience with DC power systems, rectifiers, power distribution.
• Strong technical communication and ability to review docs.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical, instrumentation, and controls design from concept through startup.
• Develop design criteria, datasheets, drawings, and calculations.
• Provide oversight of industrial power systems, AC/DC distribution, rectifiers, and motor controllers.
• Review instrumentation/control systems (PLC/DCS, networks, I/O).
• Ensure equipment packages integrate into overall facility design.
• Interface with EPC contractors and vendors to align with project requirements.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, and other disciplines for integration.
• Support P&ID reviews, electrical studies, control philosophy, and FATs/commissioning.
