Job summary

Olin is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Webb City, MO to design, develop, and maintain automated systems for machinery and processes. The role focuses on electrical control systems, PLC programming, and collaboration with vendors through design and build phases.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Minimum five years designing electrical control systems in industrial automation.
Experience programming PLCs and implementing motor drives, HMIs, servos, and vision systems preferred.
Programming experience with Omron and/or Allen-Bradley PLCs preferred.
Knowledge of machine safety standards (NEC/NFPA 70E/79) preferred.

Responsibilities

Design electrical control systems for industrial automation equipment (480V and below).
Evaluate components and automation strategies to improve efficiency, quality, performance and cost.
Program control devices including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, and vision cameras.
Develop electrical specifications and coordinate with vendors through design and build phases.
Support maintenance with troubleshooting and train staff on new controls.
Lead capital projects and perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
