Job summary

Xylem is seeking an experienced Electrical & Controls Engineer to lead automation projects from concept through commissioning for industrial and water treatment applications in a hybrid role based in Pittsburgh, PA and Holland, MI.

You will design electrical control systems, develop PLC/HMI programs (Allen‑Bradley/Rockwell), review schematics and P&IDs, and support FAT, startup, and field deployment while collaborating with customers and cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of experience in industrial automation and process control.
Strong PLC/HMI programming experience (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell preferred).
Experience with electrical control panel design, system integration, and commissioning.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

Design electrical control systems, control panels, and automation architectures.
Develop PLC and HMI programs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell preferred).
Review electrical schematics, specifications, and P&IDs.
Create electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical and support FAT/commissioning.
Collaborate with customers, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Identify opportunities to reduce costs and drive continuous improvement.
