Job summary

LeoForce in Manchester, VT is seeking an Electrical & Controls Engineer to design, program, integrate, and support control systems for highly customized machinery. You will develop panel layouts, electrical schematics, wire run lists, BOMs, and specifications, and program PLCs and HMIs using Ladder Logic and Structured Text.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years hands-on experience in industrial automation or custom machinery.
• PLC and HMI programming experience with major platforms.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control systems for custom automated machinery.
• Develop panel layouts, electrical schematics, wire run lists, BOMs, and specs.
• Program and configure PLCs and HMIs for machine control.
• Develop programs using Ladder Logic and Structured Text.
• Define controls requirements for automated equipment and movements.
• Select and integrate motors, drives, sensors, and safety components.
• Collaborate with vendors and customers during integration.
• Support assembly, testing, startup, and troubleshooting.
• Develop technical documentation and user manuals.
• Ensure designs comply with industrial safety standards.
