Job description

LHH Recruitment Solutions has an opening for an Electrical Controls Engineer for our client in the York, PA area. This direct hire role allows you to expand your engineering career within a stable collaborative and thriving organization. This on-site position requires a minimum of three years’ current experience and a proven high proficiency in working with robotics, equipment installations component level design, circuitry, programming and automation design and prints in AutoCAD. Successful candidates will have proven extensive experience in HMI scripting, robotics equipment and PLC ladder logic. Must also be highly versed in hard wired circuitry, sensors, actuators etc.

Salary range: $100,000.00 - $120,000

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for concept, design and layout of new and/or upgrades to equipment.
  • Works as a collaborative team member applying mechanical engineering principles to develop design solutions for machine control.
  • Reviews, tests and confirms electrical and mechanical systems and components’ capabilities.
  • Prepares engineering reports, calculations and checks drawings for completeness and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with vendors as well as suppliers to identify electrical components/assemblies that comply with machine requirements and specifications.
  • Installation and troubleshooting of equipment as needed.
  • Aid in the development of operation manuals and other pertinent documentation as needed.
  • Collaborates in design, development, testing and reports for new product development (NPD) projects.
  • Aid in creation of bid requests, BOMs, and SOPs.
  • Aid in bidding and vendor selection process and procedure.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Required - bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, electromechanical engineering or electrical engineering technology in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of relevant mechanical equipment operation and machine design; ability to read and decipher schematics and blueprints.
  • Experience in the mineral or chemical industries a plus.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of related engineering experience.
  • PLC ladder logic and structured text experience.
  • HMI graphics and scripting experience.
  • AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experience.
  • Experience in robotics automated manufacturing systems highly preferred.
  • A current working knowledge of electromechanical systems, troubleshooting, and design.
  • Experience with application of various sensor technologies.
  • Familiarity with user interface technology, HMIs - touch-screen displays.
  • Self-motivated and innovative, yet an exceptional product development team player.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
