Electrical/Controls Engineer

This role involves troubleshooting, analyzing, and improving automation systems on manufacturing lines within a high-speed asphalt roofing facility.

1. Troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs, instrumentation, and drives with an analytical approach.
2. Analyze data to identify impactful improvements and manage these across multiple production lines.
3. Identify gaps in automation deployment and collaborate with the Plant Systems team to implement and report on improvements.
4. Facilitate change management and maintain documentation such as engineering drawings, manuals, and process flow diagrams.
5. Create and update electrical layouts and drawings using CAD or similar software.
6. Work collaboratively with engineers, operations, and maintenance teams to understand and meet departmental needs.
7. Analyze equipment for compliance with operational standards and improve system reliability, especially in environments exposed to abrasive materials.
8. Adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment, implementing solutions efficiently without compromising quality.
9. Manage projects related to system improvements, including writing project specifications, justifications, and coordinating with cross-functional teams during design, installation, and commissioning phases.
