• Design electrical hardware and select components, including control panels, VFDs, servo motors, sensors, actuators, and safety devices.
• Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, I/O drawings, cable drawings, field box drawings, and wiring instructions.
• Manage component selection, procurement, and related technical documentation.
• Develop PLC programs, HMI screens, and I/O lists based on customer and equipment specifications.
• Configure and troubleshoot PLCs, industrial networks, communication systems, and safety functions.
• Work with automated manufacturing equipment, including robotic welding cells, material handling systems, welding fixtures, turntables, trunnion tables, and transfer systems.
• Perform in-house equipment tryouts, on-site startup, commissioning, and production support.
• Troubleshoot and validate PLCs, HMIs, I/O, interlocks, fault handling, motors, cylinders, robots, and automated sequences.
• Support production trials, cycle-time optimization, program modifications, and equipment performance improvements.
• Prepare project estimates, engineering labor-hour budgets, and component procurement plans.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to design, program, troubleshoot, and commission PLC-based automation systems for automotive manufacturing equipment. Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Hardware Design

• Interpret customer specifications and select electrical components, including control panels, VFDs, servo motors, sensors, actuators, and safety devices.
• Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, I/O drawings, cable drawings, field box drawings, and wiring instructions.
• Manage component selection, procurement, and related technical documentation.

2. PLC Software & Controls Development

• Develop PLC programs, HMI screens, and I/O lists based on customer and equipment specifications.
