Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Controls Engineer to own controls projects from design through startup. You will develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based systems (Allen-Bradley and Siemens), configure HMIs, and integrate sensors, motors, and VFDs.

You’ll collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing teams to deliver robust automation solutions on diverse equipment. This role offers hands-on ownership with limited travel (about 10–15%) to support installation and customer startup, plus a chance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls or Automation Engineering preferred.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
  • Experience with HMI programming.
  • Strong knowledge of sensors, motors, and VFDs.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Willingness to travel ~10–15% for startup and support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems.

Controls EngineerAbout the OpportunityWe’re partnering with a well-established manufacturer of custom automated equipment that is looking to add a Controls Engineer to its growing engineering team.This is a great opportunity for an engineer who wants to own controls projects from design and programming through testing and startup.
