Job summary

Innovate is seeking an electrical/automation engineer to solve complex automation challenges and own projects from concept through implementation.

You will troubleshoot, program PLCs (Allen Bradley and Siemens), develop control logic and electrical schematics, and implement HMI/SCADA solutions using WinCC and TIA. AutoCAD drawings and network knowledge support maintenance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/automation engineering.
  • 3+ years of hands-on automation experience.
  • Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of drives, motor controls, pneumatics, and automation systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across engineering and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex automation and controls issues.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving automated systems, and taking ownership of automation projects from concept through implementation.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex automation and controls issues
  • PLC programming on both Alen Bradley and Siemens.
  • Developing control logic and electrical control schematics
  • HMI & SCADA programming and integration (WinCC / WinCC Flexible / TIA)
  • Supporting and improving automated manufacturing equipment
  • Designing and modifying control systems and electrical drawings in AutoCAD
  • Working with industrial networks including Profinet, Profibus, and Industrial Ethernet
  • Supporting maintenance teams with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on automation experience within manufacturing or a system integrator environment
  • Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledge of drives, motor controls, pneumatics, and industrial automation systems
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across engineering and maintenance teams
