Controls Engineer Join a leading global food and beverage manufacturer with an extensive network of 49 facilities worldwide as a Controls Engineer specializing in automated systems. This role is based at our flagship North American facility in the Western suburbs of Chicago. Your Key Responsibilities :

• Design and implement cutting-edge control systems to enhance automation across various production lines, focusing on improving system performance and reliability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality assurance, to develop and refine automated processes that drive operational efficiency.
• Lead the integration of new control technologies into existing systems, ensuring seamless operation and minimal disruption to production activities.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing automation processes and controls, developing and implementing solutions that reduce downtime and improve productivity.
• Provide ongoing technical support to ensure optimal performance of automation systems, addressing and resolving any issues that arise.
• Program and fine-tune control software and hardware, including PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems, to achieve desired operational outcomes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of control systems and ensure all automated processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Offer expertise across multiple locations, traveling up to 40% of the time to support system installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts.

What You’ll Need :

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in controls engineering, with a strong foundation in automation and robotics.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience, open to any industry
• Skilled in PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems, with in-depth knowledge of Allen Bradley systems, robotics, and ladder logic.
• Ability to program and modify automation equipment, with a talent for quickly learning and integrating new systems.
• Strong analytical abilities to navigate and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
• Flexibility to travel as needed to support projects across various company locations.
