Job summary

Revere brand, part of SJE, is hiring an Electrical/Control System Engineer I to design, test, implement, and complete projects within budget. Responsibilities include panel design, hardware selection, programming, testing, and site support at our Birmingham, AL office.

The role involves PLC and relay-based panel work, schematic and BOM development, and collaboration with Project Management, Sales, and Drafting teams. Entry-level to 3 years of related experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Basic Microsoft Office, E‑mail, Internet, AutoCAD skills.
• Entry level to 3 years of related work experience.
• Self-motivated; able to design, write and test software with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of test equipment and tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control panels and systems to meet project specifications and design standards.
• Coordinate with panel production personnel for fabrication of control panels.
• Develop procedures and plans for factory and field testing of control panels and systems.
• Develop PLC and HMI applications per project specs using standards and best practices.
• Ensure manufacturing, construction, installation and testing meet specifications and customer requirements.
• Coordinate operation, maintenance and repair of equipment in field installations.
