Job summary

BRPH is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead on-site activities for complex projects. You will oversee safety, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with owners, contractors, and design professionals to ensure work complies with plans and codes.

Requirements include at least 5 years as a Superintendent or a bachelor’s degree with 3+ years related experience; electrical experience is required; ability to pass a federal background check and obtain military installation badging.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or a bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Electrical experience required.
• Must be able to pass a federal background check and obtain badging on a military installation.

Responsibilities

• Establish a strong safety culture at the construction job site. Monitor contractors, subcontractors and employees for adherence to safety regulations, and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
• Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
• Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with construction documents, building and safety codes, or other regulations.
• Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with environmental regulations.
• Plan, organize, or direct activities concerned with the construction or maintenance of structures, facilities, or systems.
• Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
• Investigate damage, safety incidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed.
• Prepare contracts or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.
• Develop or implement quality control programs.
