Job summary

Upchurch is a rapidly growing, full-service building engineering company providing mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services across the southeastern United States. The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing electrical construction on job sites, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Electrical Technology or Construction Management preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license (if required by jurisdiction).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical construction, with 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and construction practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical crews and subcontractors onsite.
• Ensure all installations meet design specs, codes, and safety standards (NEC/OSHA).
• Review plans and specifications to ensure proper execution.
• Maintain project schedules and report progress to the Project Manager.
• Conduct site inspections to identify and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with other trades to optimize workflow.
• Document daily activities, progress, and incident reports.
• Manage procurement and inventory of electrical materials and tools.
• Implement safety protocols and site-specific regulations.
