Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in Chester, Virginia, seeks an Electrical Superintendent to oversee on-site construction across projects, ensuring work is completed on schedule and within budget.

The role requires a Journeyman license or a 4-year engineering degree and extensive supervision experience. Candidate must have OSHA-30 or ability to obtain, strong scheduling and cost-control skills, and excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Current State Electrical Journeyman License or Four year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience.
• 10+ years experience in electrical construction supervision, technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.
• OSHA30 or ability to obtain.
• Understanding of construction and labor scheduling, cost control and ability to control and supervise large groups.
• Excellent computer, communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Supervises construction process of assigned field projects to ensure each phase of the work is completed on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship.
• Inspects, reviews, records, and reports all on-site construction related activities and ensures subcontractors perform their work on schedule.
