Job summary

EC Electric is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the project team, drive successful delivery of electrical construction projects, and maintain safe, high-quality work environments. You will manage cost, schedule, and performance while fostering client relationships and coordinating with subcontractors.

You will oversee 10 active projects, monitor budgets, prepare status reports, and ensure QA/QC, turnover, and project profitability.

Qualifications

• 15+ years experience in selling, estimating, and managing multi-million-dollar industrial construction or advanced technology projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering plus 10 years construction project experience; or in lieu of degree, 5 years experience as Electrical Foreman or General Foreman on large projects, plus 10 years as Project Manager.
• Proven record of successful relationships and marketing skills (preferred).
• Superiorknowledgeofelectricalcodesandconstructionmethods,required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team and ensure successful completion of assigned construction projects.
• Oversee up to $30 million worth of electrical construction projects or multiple large projects.
• Responsible for project cost, time and performance decisions.
• Plan, execute, track job costs, and close projects.

The Senior Project Manager leads the project team and has overall accountability for completing assigned construction projects successfully. The Senior Project Manager is fully responsible for cultivating opportunities for future construction projects by providing excellent customer service, injury free environment by ensuring safe work practices, maintaining quality assurance, and building a financially successful project. The Senior Project Manager typically oversees 10 active projects and acts as the primary with Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers reporting to them.

Responsibilitiesinclude:

• SupervisemultipleProjectManagerswhoaremanagingmultipleprojects.
• Manageupto$30million-dollar of electrical construction projects or multiple large projects simultaneously.
• Decision-makingresponsibilityconcerningprojectcost,timeandperformance.
• Accountabilityforprojectplanning,execution,jobcosttracking,andjobclosure.
• Providemonthlyprojectstatusdetailandpercentofcompletionreports.
• Monitorandcontrolproject(s)throughadministrativedirection of on-site foremen to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Initiateandmaintainliaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities.
• Planaheadtopreventproblemsandresolveanyemergingones.
• Interfacingwithcontractors,vendorsandin-houseoperations.
• Cross-sellingofothercompanyoperationsthroughfullyintegratedsolutions.
• Supportinganinjuryfreeworkenvironmentandsafetyculture.

Experienceandskillsrequired:

• Minimum15years’experienceinselling,estimating,andmanagingmulti-million-dollarIndustrialConstructionorAdvancedTechnologyprojects.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineeringplus10years’constructionproject experience;orinlieuofdegree,5years’experienceasanElectricalForemanor GeneralForemanonlargeprojects,plus10yearsasaProjectManagerrequired.
• Provenrecordofsuccessfulrelationshipsandmarketingskills,preferred.
• Superiorknowledgeofelectricalcodesandconstructionmethods,required.
• Musthaveprovenexperiencemanaging100k+man-hourprojects.
• Provenexperiencewithheavypowerdistributionsystems,instrumentationinstallation, andprocesscontrolandsystemintegration,required.
• ThoroughappliedknowledgeofprojectQA/QCproceduresandsystemturnover.
• Abilitytodemonstrateahighlevelofcompetencyinlabor,material,andcontractmanagement.
• Competencyinearned-value tracking, labor efficiency index, and crew composite factors.
• Provenabilitytocompleteadetailedtake off and all required estimating for electrical projects.
• Relevantexperienceinelectricalsubcontractingisamust.

Salaryrangeforthispositionis$145,000-$185,000annually.
