Job summary

EC Electric in Renton, WA seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead the project team, oversee 10 active projects, and ensure on-time, on-budget completion. You’ll drive safety, QA/QC, and customer service while cultivating opportunities for future work.

The role requires extensive experience in electrical construction and project leadership, with a track record on large, complex programs and strong relationships with clients. Competitive compensation and benefits accompany full-time employment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of selling, estimating, and managing multi-million-dollar industrial construction or advanced technology projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering plus 10 years of construction project experience; or 5 years as Electrical Foreman/General Foreman on large projects plus 10 years as Project Manager.
• Proven relationships and marketing skills preferred.
• Superior knowledge of electrical codes and construction methods required.
• Must have proven experience managing 100k+ man-hour projects.
• Experience with heavy power distribution systems, instrumentation installation, and process control and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple Project Managers who are managing multiple projects.
• Manage up to $30 million of electrical construction projects or multiple large projects.
• Make decisions on project cost, time, and performance.
• Accountability for project planning, execution, job cost tracking, and job closure.
• Provide monthly project status detail and percent complete reports.
• Monitor and control project through on-site supervision to ensure schedule and budget.
• Liaise with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve emerging ones.
• Interface with contractors, vendors and in-house operations.
• Cross-sell other company operations through integrated solutions.
• Support an injury-free work environment and safety culture.

The Senior Project Manager leads the project team and has overall accountability for completing assigned construction projects successfully. The Senior Project Manager is fully responsible for cultivating opportunities for future construction projects by providing excellent customer service, injury free environment by ensuring safe work practices, maintaining quality assurance, and building a financially successful project. The Senior Project Manager typically oversees 10 active projects and acts as the primary with Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers reporting to them.

Responsibilitiesinclude:

Experienceandskillsrequired:

• Minimum15years’experienceinselling,estimating,andmanagingmulti-million-dollarIndustrialConstructionorAdvancedTechnologyprojects.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineeringplus10years’constructionproject experience;orinlieuofdegree,5years’experienceasanElectricalForemanor GeneralForemanonlargeprojects,plus10yearsasaProjectManagerrequired.
• Provenrecordofsuccessfulrelationshipsandmarketingskills,preferred.
• Superiorknowledgeofelectricalcodesandconstructionmethods,required.
• Musthaveprovenexperiencemanaging100k+man-hourprojects.
• Provenexperiencewithheavypowerdistributionsystems,instrumentationinstallation, andprocesscontrolandsystemintegration,required.
• ThoroughappliedknowledgeofprojectQA/QCproceduresandsystemturnover.
• Abilitytodemonstrateahighlevelofcompetencyinlabor,materialandcontractmanagement.
• Competencyinearned-value tracking, labor efficiency index, and crew composite factors.
• Provenabilitytocompleteadetailedtake off and all required estimating for electrical projects.
• Relevantexperienceinelectricalsubcontractingisamust.

Salaryrangeforthispositionis$150,000-$210,000annually.
