Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Electrical Construction Quality Engineer to lead quality control across EPC electrical construction projects. The role is remote within the United States with up to 75% travel, collaborating with PMs, field supervision, EHS, customers, and vendors to ensure compliance with drawings and codes.

You will develop quality documentation, perform field inspections, review submittals, and drive corrective actions to deliver safe, high-quality systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or HS diploma with 10 years QC/QA on commercial electrical construction.
• 7+ years QC/QA on commercial, industrial, utility, or mission-critical electrical construction.
• Experience overseeing QC for electrical installation, testing, energization of power distribution systems.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Regular driver with valid license; travel up to 50–75%.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality control activities for EPC construction projects.
• Develop and maintain Quality Management Plans, inspection reports, test records, punch lists, and closeout packages.
• Conduct field inspections, audits, and quality reviews to identify defects and improvement opportunities.
• Partner with project managers, construction managers, engineers, subcontractors, and customers to resolve quality issues and drive corrective actions.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and commissioning plans to verify constructability and quality.
• Manage third-party testing and inspection providers, including scope development and issue resolution.
• Support factory witness testing, commissioning activities, and system turnover prior to energization.
• Investigate equipment, installation, and warranty-related issues and support root-cause analysis.
• Deliver quality-related training and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Travel to Eaton and customer sites as needed to support project execution.
