Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division (EESS) is seeking an Electrical Construction Quality Engineer (QA/QC). This remote role within the United States requires up to 75% travel to Eaton and customer sites to support quality control activities on EPC construction projects.

The position focuses on ensuring conformance with design drawings, project specs, and codes, leading QC inspections, submittals reviews, and root-cause analyses, while promoting a culture of safety,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years in quality control on commercial electrical construction.
• 7+ years in quality control/QA on commercial, industrial, utility, or mission-critical electrical projects.
• Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead QC activities for EPC construction projects.
• Develop and maintain Quality Management Plans and records.
• Conduct field inspections, audits, and quality reviews.
• Coordinate with managers, subcontractors, and customers to resolve issues.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and commissioning plans.
• Manage third-party testing and inspection providers.
• Support factory witness testing and system turnover.
• Investigate equipment and warranty issues; support root cause analysis.
• Deliver QC training and promote continuous improvement.
• Travel to Eaton and customer sites as needed.
