Job summary

The Hunt Electric on-site Electrical Project Manager position in the Duluth area oversees marketing, estimating, project administration, planning, scheduling and reporting for medium-sized electrical construction projects. Work spans Commercial, Health Care, Signal Work, and Industrial Mining sectors, with duties in Hibbing area project leadership.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years as a project manager in electrical, strong leadership and communication skills, and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of project manager experience in the electrical industry.
• Ability to understand design/build requirements as well as the scope of the contract documents issued for the electrical work.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the electrical industry.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and the coordination of manpower and resources.
• Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish the work.
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to train, delegate, and coordinate work of Assistant Project Manager, Estimators, and other team members.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing and develop new customer relationships to secure future business.
• Direct and supervise service technicians, general foremen, foremen and their crews in a manner as to comply with the contracts executed by Hunt Electric Corporation, union agreements, and all policies and procedures.
• Manage assigned projects as economically as possible while recognizing commitment to customer satisfaction, quality workmanship and positive industry image.
• Prepare, process and maintain all files, correspondence, schedules, reports, and billing necessary to perform the responsibilities of the contract.
• Direct the planning of the project through purchasing, engineering, subletting and installation.
• When necessary, work with a team during the bidding process.
