Job summary

AlphaX invites an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial electrical construction projects in the Houston market. You will guide projects from award through closeout, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, budget compliance, and top-quality results.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years managing electrical construction programs and excels at coordinating field and office teams while handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment at AlphaX.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience with a commercial electrical contractor.
• Experience overseeing commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, or institutional electrical construction projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Experience with managing schedules, budgets, labor, procurement, and project finances.
• Proficiency with construction project management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from award through final completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and cost forecasts.
• Oversee project financial performance including labor productivity, material costs, subcontractor management, and forecasting.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure successful execution.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with field supervisors, foremen, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to stay on schedule.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to customers and leadership.
• Resolve project issues while maintaining strong communication between field operations and the office.
• Ensure projects meet quality standards, safety requirements, and contract obligations.
• Build long-term relationships with clients, general contractors, and stakeholders.
