Job summary

Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Capitol Way Shop in Olympia seeks an Electrical Construction Project Lead to guide projects from concept to completion. You’ll manage electrical builds at hatcheries, PLCs, pumps, and related systems, coordinating across architects, engineers, contractors, and internal partners to ensure quality work and adherence to budgets and schedules.

You will provide leadership, mentorship, and act as a department resource for electrical work to support WDFW’s

Qualifications

• Journeyman electrician certificate (EL01) required.
• Four (4) years of professional construction project management experience.
• Four (4) years of professional experience leading/managing industrial electrical crews.

Responsibilities

• Define project objectives and scope with stakeholders.
• Prepare and manage project budgets and forecast costs.
• Assemble technical teams for purchasing, surveying, drafting, and contracting.
• Develop construction documents and coordinate reviews for approval.
• Obtain permits and maintain approvals throughout the project.
• Oversee public works and in-house projects to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Direct and evaluate work of contractors.
• Maintain detailed project schedules and contracts with vendors.
