Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. (DBA IES Electrical) in Chester, VA is seeking a full-time Electrical Construction Estimator for data center projects. The role focuses on cost estimating, proposal development, and documentation control on $50M+ electrical builds.

Applicants should have 4+ years in electrical estimating with Accubid experience and strong Excel skills. Data center exposure is a plus, with travel to project locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in estimating or cost control in commercial/industrial electrical construction.
• Accubid experience.
• Data Center project experience preferred.
• Strong math, reading, and analytical thinking skills.
• Able to interpret cost data and blueprints; read specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for electrical construction projects up to $50M using plans and specs.
• Write proposals outlining scope and costs.
• Lead the Proposal Review Process to compile all required docs.
• Own project documentation from Pre-con through hand-off to PM.
• Establish budgets and buyouts; coordinate change orders.
• Coordinate estimating efforts and negotiate with vendors.
