Job summary

Zenith Systems LLC in Ohio is seeking an experienced Project Estimator qualified in electrical systems to join our Electrical team. The ideal candidate will prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for commercial electrical construction projects and collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to support seamless project execution.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical systems, reading blueprints, and proficiency with estimating software.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Project Estimator.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, codes, regulations, and installation methods.
• Experience with estimating software: Procore, Bluebeam, Accubid, Conest; MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills; time-management abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; communication across stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of project specs and drawings, including trades beyond electrical.
• Address ambiguities with architects/engineers before deadlines.
• Verify site conditions and generate scopes of work for subcontractors.
• Perform takeoff and measurements using Bluebeam or Livecount; estimate with Accubid.
• Review vendors' BOMs and quotes to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subs to support execution.
• Log bid data, follow up on proposals, and assist business development.
