Job summary

Bombard Electric is seeking an Electrical Estimator to calculate the cost, time, and resources required to complete projects in the Las Vegas area. You will review drawings, specifications, and historical data to support accurate takeoffs and estimates.

The role involves coordinating the estimating effort with project teams, processing bid items, and preparing detailed estimates. Background checks may be required; Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Two to four years' experience in electrical estimating, cost control, and/or engineering experience in construction.

Responsibilities

• Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports into unit and man-hour figures.
• Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work.
• Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to bid/project as assigned.
• Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimates and figures.
• Interface with owner, A/E, and other contractors to provide engineering and cost data regarding project feasibility.
• Follow awarded contracts as assigned – may include estimating extra work items, change orders, credits; procuring material, etc.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
